My drawings are created by adding and erasing layers of images in backwards script over extended periods of time. I render in an atmospheric way to transfer the focus away from what is legible and emphasize the composition that develops from the remaining drawing marks left behind. This is a composite of several daily drawing studies of roses cut from my garden near my studio.
